Blackberry announced the Blackberry Blend app alongside the 4.5-inch Squared faced Blackberry Passport but the former has received more thumbs up from critics, reviewers and analysts.
The Blackberry Blend app is a seamless data sharing platform between Blackberry smartphones with the computer (Laptop and PCs) and tablets. The app can functions by connecting to via a cellular nework or Wi-Fi; the device also works when the Blackberry device is tethered to the PC with a USB cable. All the user need do is login the Blackberry I’d on the tablet or the PC to share data seamlessly amongst themselves, thanks to the Blackberry Blend.
With the Blackberry Blend users have access to notifications, calenders, access documents & contacts, media files, reply messages and others across all platforms whilst still protected under Blackberry network. Users can also transfer files across different devices be it on iOS, Android, Windows or Mac.
The Blackberry Blend is debuting on the Blackberry Passport and the Porsche Design P’9983. Other Blackberry smartphones running on Blackberry OS 10 would get access to the app via the upcoming BB OS 10.3.1 update. The corresponding App for users of Android tablets is available on GooglePlay, users on iPad is available on Apple Store whilst Windows PC and MAC users can get theirs via BlackBerry.com/Blend.
The Blackberry Blend currently works on Desktop platforms – Windows 7+, Mac OS X 10.7+, iPads running on iOS 7+ and Android 4.4+ running tablets.
