Blackberry has released an official Blackberry Priv Video showcasing the Android-powered Slider device along with the keyboard. Priv is the exactly first Blackberry to run Open Source Android OS and the Canadian is banking on the device to be a success with up to 5 million units expected to ship.
The released Blackberry Priv video is pretty much short one but based on previous informations going round; the device will sport a 5.4-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED display, powered by an Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 processor with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
The device has a 18MP Sony-made rear facing camera with Dual LED flash, a front facing 2MP camera for selfies et video chats and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2 TeraBytes (TB). Connectivity options on the Priv includes – Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1 and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.6).
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box, the Blackberry Priv has a single SIM slot and is backed by a 3410mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 350 hours of standby time and 15 hours of talk time. Checkout the Blackberry Priv below:
