Blackberry caused a stir by briefly showing off the ‘Blackberry Slider‘ smartphone along with the announcement of the Blackberry Leap at the just concluded MWC 2015.
The device which the Blackberry CEO, John Chen called the Slide or Blackberry Slide had its White and Black colour option showed off within 10 seconds before they were hidden afterwards. While the media only had brief photo of the device; it was said to have been shown to select partners at the event.
The Blackberry Slider smartphone has been rendered by Dylan Habkirk of Blackberry Central and he simply calls the device – Blackberry Glide. The device also has some of its specs tipped on the render. We could get to see a Dual Edge QHD LCD screen, 35-key Slide-out keyboard (backlight and touch capacitive), Dual Stereo speakers, 16MP main camera and a 3650mAh removable batteries.
All of the specs listed above are yet to be confirmed but we expect the device to start trickling in the news as interest for the device is high. The Slider smartphone could be a massive turning point from the company if the phone manages to live up to the hype. For now let’s just feed the eyes with the Slider Blackberry smartphone renders or the Blackberry Glide as Dylan calls them.
