The only thing remaining is an official teaser or announcement of some sort as it is confirmed that Blackberry would finally launch the Android OS running Blackberry Slider smartphone.
The Blackberry 10 OS running Slider smartphone which was showcased at the MWC 2015 is now expected to launch into the market with Android OS on-board. The company could opt for two versions of the device actually – one running Android and the other running Blackberry 10.
The Blackberry Slider smartphone is known internally as the Blackberry Venice; the device could still end up with another final name.
The Blackberry Venice Slider smartphone would feature a 5.4-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad-HD display, powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
On the rear would be a 18MP camera and the front facing camera is a 5MP snapper. The Blackberry Venice Slider should be available in the market by November 2015 but there is no word on pricing yet nor availability information.
Previous reports suggested that Blackberry is working together with Samsung to deliver its first Android smartphone. Earlier today, a photo of the Blackberry Passport running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS surfaced online.
