The Blackberry Z3 (also known as BlackBerry Jakarta) was announced in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Blackberry Z3 is currently available for pre-order in Indonesia and would be launched by May 13 in Jakarta.
There would be Standard edition of the Blackberry Z3 and also a Jakarta version which would see the capital of Indonesia engraved on the back panel of this device. The special Jakarta edition which will be used to commemorate the launch of the first Blackberry smartphone for the Indonesian market will be available for a short time.
The Blackberry Z3 features 5-inch qHD (540 x 960) display, powerd 1.2GHz dual core Cortex-A7 Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage expandable by micro SD, 5MP rear camera, 1.1MP front camera, 2650mAh battery and would run on Blackberry 10.2.1 OS.
The full touch device has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB in terms of connectivity and the device would come pre-loaded with a lot of apps and features.
BLACKBERRY Z3 AVAILABILITY AND PRICING
The Blackberry Z3 would first be available for pre-order on Indonesian network carriers – Indosat and XL. It would be launched fully in Indonesia by May13 and no words yet on the Global availability. Just as promised the device would cost less than $200 and the device is set to be priced at $190 and €137 (around of N31,000 in Nigerian Naira).
