BLU has announced two new devices in the Life Series of devices from the company – the BLU Life One (2015) and BLU Life 8 XL. Both smartphones are on sale on Amazon.com in the US; their pricing is tagged at $149 for the Life One (2015) starting June 19 and $129 for the Life 8 XL starting July 1.
BLU Life One (2015)
The BLU Life One (2015) sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display (294ppi), powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the rear, there is a 13MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for taking selfies. Connectivity options the device includes – 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4), Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS with AGPS, and microUSB 2.0.
It measures 143.5 x 72.1 x 7.5mm in dimensions, weighs 120 grams, Dual SIM functionality and is backed by a 2820mAh battery which is expected to provide around 700 hours on standby time (2G). Sandstone and Grey are the available colour options.
BLU Life 8 XL
The phablet sized BLU Life 8 XL sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display (268ppi), powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core Cortex-A7 processor paired with Mali 450 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
On the rear, there is a 8MP Autofocus camera with LED flash and front facing 2MP camera for selfies and videochats. Connectivity options on the BLU Life 8 XL includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Hotspot, microUSB 2.0, GPS with AGPS and 3G but 4G LTE.
The device measures 155 x 74.8 x 7.7mm in dimensions, weighs 172 grams, Dual SIM functionality and is backed by a 2920mAh battery which provides up to 900 hours of standby time (2G). Black, Orange, Pink, White and Yellow are the available colour options.
Both the BLU Life One (2015) and the BLU Life 8 XL runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with promised upgrade to Android Lollipop OS later this year.
