BLU has announced the cheapest Quad HD smartphone in the US and also the first Mediatek Helio X10 smartphone made for the US market – the BLU Pure XL. The 6-inch display sized LTE enabled phablet will be available in the US starting September 29th exclusively on Amazon for $349 Unlocked.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the BLU Pure XL has a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (Quad HD), pixel density of 490ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. It measures about 9.6mm in dimensions and has a solid Aluminium body build with polished chamfered edges.
Under the hood, it powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 64-bit processor clocked at 2.0GHz which allowed the device have a score up to 49,000 on AnTuTu Benchmark. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space which is expandable by a microSD card slot.
On the rear lies, the BLU Pure XL sports a 24MP f/2.0 main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), Dual Tone LED flash and sapphire glass protection. The front camera is a 8MP wide-angle snapper for selfies and there is a dedicated camera button.
The fingerprint scanner is located below the main camera and the device supports 4G LTE networks in the US (compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile networks). It also has 24-bit/192kHz audio quality, Dual Stereo speakers, Smart PA and DTS sound.
The BLU Pure XL is backed by a 3500mAh battery that comes with a 9V/2A fast charger and provides over 7 hours of HD video playback time. The battery goes up to 43% within 30 minutes of charge and about 10 minutes of charge guarantees four hours of talk time.
