After weeks of teasing, US-based BLU Products has finally announced the BLU Pure XR. The new Android smartphone is currently available in the US via Amazon and Best Buy online stores for a price tag of $300 sans contract.
Fully compatible with 4G LTE networks on T-Mobile and AT&T, the BLU Pure XR is powered by the octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired along with 4GB of RAM and runs Nadroid 6.0 Marshmallow OS but no word on possible upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.
Backed by a fast charging 3000mAh battery (non-removable), the device sports a high-end solid metal body with invisible antenna lines, 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for protection and arrives in both Gold and Grey colour options.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 16MP camera with advanced technologies, including f/1.8 aperture, 1/3 inch sensor with 6P lens, real-time HDR, as well as phase detection autofocus with laser focus. The front 8MP Selfie camera is equipped with Face Beautification Software.
The fingerprint sensor on the BLU Pure XR is embedded into the Home button and for the best audio experience; it features DTS Surround Sound Technology.
