BLU Products has announced its most durable smartphone yet – the BLU Tank Xtreme Pro. It packs a rugged and durable frame, and is IP68 certified i.e dust proof and waterproof (can be submerged under 1.5 meters of water up to 30 minutes). It can also withstand drops and is shock resistant.
Pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the BLU Tank Xtreme Pro has a 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and backed by a lasting 4,300mAh battery. It relies on a quad-core Mediatek MT6737T processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB RAM.
The smartphone has 16GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 64GB via microSD) and comes with 3G (850/1700/1900) and 4G LTE (2/4/7/12/17) network bands, which means it is compatible with United States carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and entire MVNO networks.
For photography, the BLU Tank Xtreme Pro sports a rear facing 8MP camera with 5-element lens and LED flash, along with a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. It has dual SIM (unlocked) and is expected to last up to 48 hours of usage on a single charge and 30 days of standby time.
