Miami, FL-based US smartphone brand, BLU Products released its first ever Android 7.0 Nougat flagship smartphone – the BLU Vivo 8, at the end of August. It is available unlocked on Amazon in either Black or Gold colour options for a price tag of $299.
Housed in a CNC polished Aluminium metal (87%) body with minimal plastic (13%) body, the BLU Vivo 8 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display with curved Corning Gorilla Glass, microUSB port, fingerprint sensor (home button), dual SIM slots (nano + micro) and a 4,010mAh battery with ultra quick 9V/2A (18W) fast charging.
On the inside, the device is powered by the Mediatek Helio P10 octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in expandable storage space. Photography is handled by a rear facing 13MP Sony IMX258 camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1/3 inch sensor with 5P lens, real-time HDR and PDAF with Laser Focus.
The front camera is a 16MP snapper also with 1/3 inch sensor with 5P lens, f/2.0 aperture and both bright and soft front flash for better low-light selfies. It also has additional features like Group Selfie Mode, Panorama selfie and enhanced face beautification software.
