Florida-Based, BLU Products has released a new budget mid-range device in the market – the BLU Vivo XL 2, successor to the Vivo XL from last year’s January. It is available unlocked from Amazon for a price tag of US$149.99 and boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. Update to Android Nougat is expected at some point this year.
Dressed in a attractive chassis with a micro pattern engraving with metallic finish, the BLU Vivo XL 2 has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display and retains the 3150mAh battery from the XL, which is expected to last up to 30% longer. The 5V/2A Quick Charger promises up to 50% charge in 30 mins and 2hrs of talk time with only 10 mins charge.
On the inside, the device is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MTf737T processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage space and a microSD card slot for expanding storage with additional 64GB space. It has Dual SIM slots and supports full 4G LTE coverage (Band – 2/4/7/12/17) on GSM networks in the US.
For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash alongside a front facing 8MP camera for selfies. The BLU Vivo XL 2 is available in Liquid Gold or Midnight Blue colour options.
