Previously named Bluboo X500 and announced as far back as the ending of the month of May, Bluboo has announced what it calls ‘probably the best 5-inch smartphone so far’ – the Bluboo XTouch. The device will launch this month (October) for a price tag which is still a mystery.
Going into the specs details, the Bluboo Xtouch sports a 5-inch display made by Sharp/JDI with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) with 2.5D Glass ontop. The back cover is 3D made and in terms of the body build, it uses a mixture of glass and metal giving the phone a thinkable premium look.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 64-bit processor clocked either to 1.3 or 1.5GHz with Mali T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. Even though it is not mentioned, there should be a microSD card slot for expanding storage further.
The Bluboo XTouch has a rear facing 13 megapixels main camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, a front facing 5 megapixels camera for selfies and instead of placing the fingerprint sensor on the back like most would, it is said to be located on the front i.e it is embedded into the home button.
Backed by a 3050mAh Li-Polymer battery that should provide a reasonable battery life, the XTouch is expected to run Android Lollipop OS and should support 4G LTE connectivity since the chipset does along with standard options.
