Bluboo has been buzzing these past months with the release of some interesting devices (smartphones per say), the Chinese based company has decided to enter the smartwatch market with the Bluboo Xwatch.
The Bluboo Xwatch is not only the first smartwatch from Bluboo, it is also said to be the first sport-focused Android Wear smartwatch around. The smartwatch follows the other ‘X’ series of devices launches this year – the Bluboo X550, Bluboo XFire, XFire Pro, the Bluboo XTouch as well as the XTouch Pro.
The XWatch has a round face along with either rubber or leather strap; with built-in heart-rate sensor, GPS, altimeter, and barometers. It also has two control buttons at the side and using most Android Wear devices as a reference it could have 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.
The company has taken a very bold approach by announcing a watch device running Android Wear device, a platform which is no secret that Google guards jealously unlike the general Android OS and only about 8 brands or thereabouts have been able to release smartwatches running the OS.
Obviously the watch is for sports enthusiasts but battery life has always been a bone of contention for smartwatches running Android Wear OS compared to others running less popular or customised OS. We should let you know that the company will showcase the Bluboo Xwatch at the HK Global Source Electronics show this month.
