Luxury audio brand, Bang & Olufsen (B&O) has stuck to its promise of bringing voice control to its range of headphones and speakers. The Danish company recently unveiled the ultra-premium Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 with Google Assistant built-in.
The Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 are engineered with advanced acoustic echo-cancelling technology and five built-in microphones to ensure they listen to commands over whatever is currently playing. Both models have four programmable shortcut buttons at the top.
In addition to Google Assistant, the smart speakers have Chromecast, QPlay 2.0 and Apple AirPlay 2 integration to ensure access to all the streaming services. The Beosound 1 is portable and has a built-in rechargeable battery while the heftier Beosound 2 needs to be plugged in.
Pricing for the Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 with Google Assistant starts at $1,750 (€1,500 or £1,250) and $2,250 (€2,000 or £1,650) respectively in key markets such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, UK, and USA. The Beosound 1 also has a docking station priced at $175 ( €150 or £125).
