Boost Mobile announce LG Tribute 5 (LG K7 LTE)

LG Tribute 5 is the official launch name of the LG K7 LTE in the US, at least via Boost Mobile. The 5-inch sized entry-level smartphone is the follow-up to the similar Android 5.1 Lollipop OS based LG Tribute 2 released last year. The carrier is selling the Tribute 5 for a price tag of $99.99 with no contract required.

For a 2016 smartphone, the LG Tribute 5 doesn’t impress with its specs; it sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels resolution (FWVGA) and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 processor clocked at 1.1GHz with Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space which is exandable up to 32GB via microSD.

In the camera segment, there is a 5MP rear-‎facing camera with LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera with Gesture Shot and Selfie Light (the screen provides soft flash when taking selfies). The device supports Sprint’s 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as having Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options. ‎

‎Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box, the LG Tribute 5 measures 143.6 x 72.5 x 8.9 mm in dimensions‎ and weighs 138.3 grams in size and is backed by a removable 2125mAh Lithium-Ion battery with up to 14.5 hours of talk time guaranteed.
