Boost Mobile launch ZTE Warp Elite with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS for $179.99 Sans Contract

Boost Mobile and ZTE have announced the ZTE Warp Elite, a new addition to the Warp family of devices and successor to the ZTE Warp Sync released in 2014. It costs $179.99 (plus tax) and is marketed as Boost Mobile’s “most feature-packed smartphone for under 00”.

Commenting on the launch, Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA said,

“Consumers were very happy with the Warp Sync on Boost Mobile and we are proud to bring the next addition to the Warp family in the ZTE Warp Elite. With Boost Mobile, we are again delivering on what consumers want and value in a smartphone, all within a price they can afford.”

The phablet sized ZTE Warp Elite features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a simplistic designed black smartphone body with some sprinkles of Gold.   

Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz (possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) with 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.

On the back there is a 13MP camera with LED flash, a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, WI-Fi, GPS, micro USB and 3G/4G LTE/Enhanced LTE.

The ZTE Warp Elite is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0 technology for fast charging and provides up to 20 hours of talk time.
