BOSE announced a new wireless smart speaker and two new smart soundbars— the Bose Home Speaker 500 for music, and the Bose Soundbar 700 and Soundbar 500 for music and home theater. All three come with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Alexa built in, and uses the brand’s proprietary mic technology to hear commands better over louder listening levels.
The Bose Home Speaker 500 uses two custom drivers pointed in opposite directions for better sound reflection. It is wrapped in seamless anodised aluminium, measure 20.3cm high x 16.9cm wide x 10.9cm deep and has smartphone and touch control as well as hardware buttons at the top.
The Bose Soundbar 500 and Bose Soundbar 700 use proprietary ADAPTiQ to acoustically adjust to the surroundings and HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) for compatibility with future technology. Both can be wall-mounted or expanded with a wireless bass module and rear speakers for a full 5.1 experience.
Measuring 5.7cm high x 10.8cm deep x 98cm long, the Soundbar 700 has a stunning design comprising a wraparound metal grille, curved clean lines and tempered glass top. It comes with an intelligent universal remote and proprietary technologies such as Bose PhaseGuides, Bose DSP, low-profile transducers and QuietPort technology.
The Soundbar 500 has most of the features of the Soundbar 700. It is smaller and thinner (4.4cm high x 10.2cm deep x just over 81cm long) and sports a subtle matte finish.
The Bose Home Speaker 500 (£399.95), Soundbar 500 (£499.95) and Soundbar 700 (£799.95) work either alone or together as a multi-room system. They will all arrive beginning October and will be sold at Bose retail stores, Bose.co.uk and authorised Bose dealers.
