Along with the Aquaris X5 smartphone, BQ has announced a light and compact Android tablet – the BQ Aquaris M10. The 10-incher is the first tablet with European Dolby Atmos which is created by Dolby Surround, this technology spreads the sound accurately across the slate thus giving the user a good listening experience.
Moving to the specs, the BQ Aquaris M10 has a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of either HD (Aquaris M10 HD) or Full HD (Aquaris M10 FHD). Both models would be powered by a quad-core Mediatek processor but clocked at different speed to optimise performance according to the display res.
The device has 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage space, a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB), a front 5 megapixels camera for selfies, video chats and a 8 megapixels camera (capable of 1080p video recording). It measures 246 × 171 × 8.15mm in dimensions and weighs 470 grams.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the BQ Aquaris M10 is backed by a capable 7280mAh Li-Po battery that provides up to 8 hours of usage. The tablet will be available from authorised retail outlets and BQ’s online shop starting November 2015 for a price tag of €229.90 for the HD version and €259.90 for the FHD (Full HD) version.
