BQ and Google has teamed up to bring Android One devices to Europe with Spain and Portugal being the destination. The BQ Aquaris A4.5 is selling in both countries for a price tag of €169.90 in Spain and €179.90 in Portugal respectively.
Just like most smartphones under the Android One initiative, the Aquaris A4.5 will receive direct updates from Google for the next 24 months (2 years) from now. The device will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS but will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS when it becomes available soon.
Moving to the specs, the BQ Aquaris A4.5 sports 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS qHD display with Asahi DragonTrail glass protection and a pixel density of 245ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor clocked at 1.0GHz paired with ARM Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
On the back, the device sports a 8MP AutoFocus f/2.0 camera with Dual LED flash, a front facing 5MP f/2.0 camera with flash and there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB. Connectivity options on the BQ Aquaris A4.5 includes – GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, micros USB and 4G LTE.
The device measures 131.77 x 63.48 x 8.75mm in dimensions, weighs 115 grams, supports Dual Micro SIM slots and is backed by a 2470mAh LiPo battery.
