Spain-based device maker, BQ has commenced sales of its new budget smartphone with fullscreen design and support for face unlock – the BQ Aquaris C in Europe. It retails for EUR 159.90 and arrives in White and Black colours.
The BQ Aquaris C sports a 5.45-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ in-cell IPS A-Si LCD display with 450 nits brightness and 2.5D curved glass covering with anti-fingerprint coating. It is backed by a long lasting 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Internally, it comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.45GHz paired with Adreno 308 GPU. The device packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD).
In the camera section, the BQ Aquaris C is equipped with a single rear facing 13MP camera with Samsung S5K3L6 sensor, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture while the front selfie shooter is a 5MP Hynix HI556 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The fingerprint sensor sits just below the rear camera.
Connectivity and port options on-board include 4G LTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Bluetooth aptX, dual band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and USB Type-C (2.0) port. The device also has a smart amp for the speaker and supports OTG.
