BQ Aquaris X5 announced with Snapdragon 412 processor, 4G LTE and 2900mAh

BQ has announced a new LTE-enabled mid-range smartphone running Android OS. The device in question is the BQ Aquaris X5, it will be available on sale starting November 2015 in Black + Grey, Pink + Gold and White + Silver colour options.

Moving to the specs, the BQ Aquaris X5 sports a 5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 412 MSM8916 clocked at 1.4GHz with Adreno 306 GPU and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. 

The Aquaris X5 is available in two memory storage options 2GB of RAM along with 16GB native storage space and 3GB of RAM to go along with 32GB native storage space. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4).

Handling photography is a 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The BQ Aquaris X5 has Dual SIM slots (with Dual Standby) and the whole package is backed by a 2900mAh battery that assures up to 2 days or more of mixed usage. 

The 16GB model with 2GB of RAM costs €229.90 while the 3GB RAM variant with 32GB native storage costs higher at €269.90.
