Hisense has announced a new budget tablet – the Hisense Sero 7+ tablet which will slot in along with other devices in the company’s Sero series of tablets. The 7-inch sized device is the obvious upgrade to the Hisense Sero 7 LT tablet which is also an affordable one.
Moving to the specifications, the Hisense Sero 7+ features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and is powered by a Dual-core Rockchip RK3168 ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 32GB via the microSD card slot available.
For photography, there is a 2-megapixels rear facing camera, and front facing VGA camera for video chat. The Wi-Fi only tablet has no 3G connectivity, a mono output speaker and is powered by an ample sized – 3000mAh battery.
Compared to the Hisense Sero LT, the Hisense Sero 7+ packs a slightly faster processor, improved internal storage and rear facing camera. But generally, the Sero 7+ is a no no from me as we have seen budget tablets with better specs to this. However, the tablet is expected to sell for a price tag less than US$100 (less than N15,000 in Naira at current exchange rate).
