The Campus series of smartphones from Celkon are all budget-based and the just announced Celkon Campus A518 is no different. The device comes with a Rs 4500 price tag, runs Android Kitkat OS and supports 3G connectivity.
Commenting on the launch, Y Guru, Chairman and Managing Director, Celkon Mobiles, said

The Celkon Campus A518 sports a 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) resolution IPS display, supports Dual SIM functionality, comes with FM Radio and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. Under the hood, it is powered by a single-core processor clocked at 1GHz paired with with 512MB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
On the rear there is a 3.2MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 1.3MP camera. Connectivity options on the Celkon Campus A518 includes Bluetooth, micro USB, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The device measures 145 x 73 x 9.75mm, weighs 164 grams and is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
The Celkon Campus A518 would be available across retail outlets in India for Rs 4500 ($71) in Dark Blue and White colour options. There is no word if the device would be offered on sale online.
