Weeks after announcing the Oppo Mirror 5s in Taiwan, Oppo has announced the Oppo Mirror 5 smartphone. The midrange device comes with a bi-metallic frame that keeps the phone durable and a diamond-patterned glass back which gives the device a unique but yet beautiful look.
The Oppo Mirror 5 would be available in over 15 International markets including North Africa, South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Mexico. There is no word on pricing yet but it would be available in Blue and White colour options.
The Mirror 5 and the Mirror 5s from Oppo both share most specs with the only noticeable differences being the resolution of the 5-inch TFT display on the former is (960 x 540 pixels) qHD while that of the latter is a (1280 x 720 pixels) HD one.
The Oppo Mirror 5 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2Ghz paired with Adreno 306, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. It sports a 5-inch qHD display, Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano), boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS based ColorOS 2.1 and is backed by a non-removable 2420mAh battery.
On the rear, there is a rear facing 8MP f/2.2 camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. Connectivity option on the Mirror 5 includes – Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE/3G HSPA+. Measuring 143.4 x 71.2 x 7.65 mm, the Oppo Mirror 5 weighs 160 grams and can be used as a remote control for household appliances and more thanks to the IR Remote Sensor.
