Mobile telecom carrier, Taiwan Mobile (TWM) has launched the TWM Amazing X5s (Taiwan Mobile Amazing X5s) budget 4G smartphone along with the TWM Amazing X7 in the Taiwanese market. It is selling unlocked through Taiwan Mobile dealers and outlets for a price tag of TWD 3990 (USD 122) in choices of Black, Gold and White colours.
Manufactured by ZTE, the TWM Amazing X5s sports a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution, measures 145 x 71.5 x 8.9mm in dimensions, weighs 158 grams and is backed by a 4000mAh battery which should provide around two days of usage; could be more or less but that depends on usage.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735P clocked at 1.0GHz with 2GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space. For photography, there is a rear facing 13-megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 5-megapixels camera for selfies and video chats.
Connectivity option on the TWM Amazing X5s includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB port, GPS and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4). For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion and on the software side, it boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
