Budget iNew L4 phablet with 64-bit MediaTek SoC and 5000mAh battery

The iNew L4 is an interesting phablet from an inferior OEMS from Chin, iNew. Phablets are eating deep into tablets’ market share and more companies are seemingly contributing to that. The L4 is a budget priced phablet which has a big 5000mAh battery, powered by a 64-bit SoC from MediaTek and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

The removable 5000mAh Li-ion battery on the L4 as expected contributes to the thickness of the device (9.5mm thick) and provides around 164 hours of standby time; 105 hours of continuous music playback and 21 hours of continuous browsing.

Moving to the key specs, the iNew L4 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 X 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD OGS display (267ppi), powered by a 64-bit Quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Mali ARM-T720 GPU, 1GB RAM and 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).

Handling photography on the device is a 8MP main camera with Flash and a front 2MP camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options includes – Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP USB OTG, OTA Sync, and GPS; Accelerometer, Compass, Light sensor, Proximity are the available sensor options.

The iNew L4 supports Dual SIM slots, weighs 158 grams, measures 148 x 78 x 9.5mm in dimensions and as said earlier it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The device costs around of $162/€149 in China; Black and White are the colour options available.
