Bullitt group the brain behind Cat Phones has announced the Cat B30 rugged feature phone; it would succeed the best selling Cat B25 feature phone which is also rugged. The device has an Manufacturer Suggested retail price (MSRP) of €129 and is recommended as a rugged companion for those working outdoors.

The Cat B30 is designed to survive the harshest of conditions and it is shockproof, waterproof (up to 1m) and dustproof. For the aforementioned features, it is IP67 certified (ingress protection) and it can survive drops of around 1.8m to the concrete. It can also withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures; as high as 55-degree celcius ans as low as -25-degrees celcius.
It features a 2.0-inch (176 x 144 pixels) Quarter Common Intermediate Format (QCIF) display, measures 118 x 54 x 16mm in dimensions and supports 3G connectivity. Other key specs includes MP3/MP4 playback, Dual SIM functionality, 2MP rear camera, FM Radio, LED Torch and lasts around 9.5 hours of talktime.
