LG has announced a new series of smartphone – the LG K series which will succeed the L series ahead of the CES 2016. Devices in this series are in the mid-range category downwards and not only combine advanced camera technology but also the LG UX features usually reserved for premium model devices.
The first two devices under the LG K Series are the LG K7 and K10; both are available in 3G/LTE models and have front facing Flash for the front cameras for quality selfies. They are the first to use the company’s glossy pebble design language aimed at the youths complemented with LG’s 2.5D Arc Glass.
The back cover is made from intricate woven pattern for easy grip and confidence when on the go. The LG K series smartphones will on display at the company’s booth in Hall #8204 of the Las Vegas Convention Center at this year’s CES.
LG K10 (3G/LTE)
Starting with the senior of the duo, the LG K10 sports a 5.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and is powered by varying processor options: quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz or octa-core processor clocked 1.14GHz for the LTE and quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz for the 3G model.
The RAM and Storage options onboard includes – 1GB, 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM paired with either 8GB or 16GB built-in storage space. For photography, the LG K10 3G has a rear facing 8MP camera while the K10 LTE has a rear facing 13MP; both have the option of either a 8MP or a 5MP camera.
The LG K10 measures 146 x 74.8 x 8.8mm in dimensions, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2300mAh battery. Gold, Indigo and White are the available colours.
LG K7 (3G/LTE)
The entry-level LG K7 sports a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels FWVGA display (On-Cell Touch – 3G/In-Cell Touch – LTE); powered by a a quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz for the LTE & clocked at 1.3GHz for the 3G model.
Memory and storage also varies with the option of 1GB or 1.5GB and 8GB or 16GB built-in storage space. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5MP camera and either a 5MP or 8MP main camera. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2125mAh battery.
The LG K7 3G measures 143.6 x 72.5 x 9.05mm in dimensions while the LG K7 LTE measures 143.6 x 72.5 x 8.9mm; both models are available in Black Gold and White colour options.
