CES 2016: Polaroid Power and Polaroid Snap Announced

At the CES 2016, Polaroid announced two smartphones – the Polaroid Power and Polaroid Snap smartphones. Both devices are manufactured and designed by Southern Telecom; and are available unlocked. Snap will be available in February while Power will be available by Spring 2016.

Polaroid Power

The Polaroid Power sports a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by an octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space, 4G LTE support and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OSS but is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. ‎

‎There is a front facing 8MP camera and rear facing 13MP camera for photography; also there is a microSD card slot and Google Drive cloud storage to enjoy additional storage space. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery and comes with a free 8000mAh power bank to bring the energy level up to 11000mAh. It costs $249.99 off-contract. ‎

Polaroid Snap

Also running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS (upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS), the Polaroid Snap is powered by a quad-core processor, supports 4G LTE connectivity and is available in 5-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch screen sizes with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution.

All screen models packs either 1GB RAM & 8GB built-in storage or 2GB RAM & 16GB built-in storage space; there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. For photography, there is a front facing 5MP camera with front flash and a rear facing 13MP camera with Dual LED flash.

The Polaroid Snap costs between $129.99- $179.99 for the models and arrive in Black, Blue, Pink and White colours.
