ZTE has apparently decided to play it cool at the CES 2016 tech show with the announcement of the ZTE Grand X3 and ZTE Avid Plus. Both mid-range devices are announced for the US with enticing price tags to go along.
ZTE Grand X3
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the ZTE Grand X3 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor cocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
There is a rear placed 8MP camera with LED flash, a front facing 2MP camera for selfies, reversible USB Type-C port, Dolby Audio tech and a 3080mAh battery with Quick Charge technology onboard. The Grand X3 supports 4G LTE and is available for US$ 129.99 off-contract from Cricket Wireless.
ZTE Avid Plus
Also another Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS device, the ZTE Avid Plus steers towards the lower midrange to entry-level with a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA display, 3G HSPA+ connectivity and 2300mAh battery. It will go on sale in the US via MetroPCS and T-Mobile for a price tag of US$ 115.
The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. There is a front facing 2MP camera and a rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash for photography.
