The Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube 2 has been found on Lazada listing; the phablet sized device is the apparent successor to the original Cubix Cube. It is expected to make its debut by November 11th during the Lazada Online Revolution Campaign for a price tag of Php 4999 ($107).
Moving to the specs, the Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube 2 sports a 5.7-inch IPS OGS display, powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage space. For photography, there is a 13MP main camera with LED flash and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies.
Without due knowledge of the chipset, it is hard to tell if the device really supports 4G LTE networks but it is confirmed to have a microSD card slot (supports cards up to 64GB), Dual Micro SIM slots as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, microUSB 2.0 and GPS connectivity options.
The Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube 2 is backed by a non-removable 3500mAh Li-Po battery which is expected to provide up to a day (or more) of mixed usage and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is available in two colour options – Black and White.
For reference purpose, the Cubix Cube 2 resembles the Jiayu G6 and it is possible the company decided to rebrand the device but we can’t actually say it is but below is the picture of the G6, we will leave you to do the visual comparisons.
