Filipino based, Cherry Mobile has announced a Lite version of the Cubix Cube released last year. Rightfully named the Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube Lite, it will be available online only from Lazada for a price tag of Php 2999 (US$ 63) starting January 8th 2016. It comes with a free screen protector and jellycase.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube Lite sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB; and for photography, the Cubix Cube Lite has a front facing 2-megapixels camera for selfies and a rear facing 5-megapixels camera with LED flash. No fingerprint sensor here, it is lightweight at 110 grams and measures 134 x 69 x 10mm in dimensions.
The device supports 2G and 3G networks and alsoo has other connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS onboard. The Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube Lite rocks Dual Micro SIM slots as expected and is backed by a non removable 2500mAh battery which can only guarantee less than a day of mixed usage.
