Philippines based, Cherry Mobile has announced a new camera/selfie centric android smartphone – the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie. The 5-inch sized LTE enabled device is available in the company’s home market for a price tag of Php 7999 (US$ 169) in White colour option.
The highlight of the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie is its front facing 16-megapixels AutoFocus camera with soft LED flash. The rear camera is also a 16-megapixels AutoFocus snapper with BSI Sensor and Dual LED flash. The Fingerprint Sensor which can also function as the camera shutter button is located on the back of the phone.
Measuring 143.5 x 69.4 x 7.99mm in dimensions, the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 16GB built-in storage space and 3GB of RAM.
Connectivity options onboard includes – 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspots, micro USB v2.0 and GPS/A-GPS. The Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie has Dual Micro SIM slots and a microSD card slot (up to 64GB), runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s Cherry Launcher ontop and is backed by a 3000mAh Li-ion battery.
