Cherry Mobile has officially launched a new tablet, the Cherry Mobile Fusion Aura Play which will arrive with Digital TV (DTV) support. The new slate is the first ever from the company with DTV capabilities and is available for a price tag of Php 2499 (US$ 53) in Cherry Mobile kiosks and concept stores.
The Cherry Mobile Fusion Aura Play correspond to the Seg ISDB-T system and has an extendable antenna which ensures a clearer and better overall quality output. It relies on a quad-core Allwinner A33 Processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali 400 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space.
The entry-level slate sports a 7-inch TFT display with 1024 x 600 pixels (WSVGA) screen resolution and is backed by a 2400mAh battery (non-removable). Photography is handled by a front facing 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera and rear facing 2-megapixels main camera.
To keep the price tag down, the Cherry Mobile Fusion Aura Play skips on a SIM slot and includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and micro USB port options. It measures 191.2x 116 x 11.5 mm, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and has expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD.
