Cherry Mobile has teased a new Android One smartphone believed to be the Cherry Mobile One 4G. The device will follow the recently leaked i-mobile IQ II which is expected to be the first for Thailand.
To gain more traction, Google and it’s partners are now bringing better Android One phones at least compared to earlier ones launched under the program.
The yet-to-be announced phone is tipped to be the Cherry Mobile One 4G as it has the same design and features at the General Mobile One 4G launched in Turkey. However things turns out, it would be the third from Cherry Mobile with the Cherry Mobile One and Cherry Mobile Uno ahead of it.
The device is expected to feature a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space.
The rest of the Cherry Mobile One 4G specs includes – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Dual SIM slots, 5MP front camera, 13MP main camera Dual LED flash and latest Android Lollipop OS.
Back in June, an Android One smartphone from Infinix was showcased at an event in Indonesia; it features HD display, 2GB RAM, 8MP main camera with LED flash, front 5MP camera, quad-core processor, 16GB internal storage and Dual SIM functionality. The device is expected to debut by Q3 2015.
Google is expected to announce the new Android One smartphone for Cherry Mobile and the confirmed i-mobile IQ II on August 10th. Both devices are expected to be priced within the region of $126.
