Last Month, one of the major mobile operators in China – China Mobile announced two new smartphones under its own brand name – the China Mobile A1s and China Mobile A2. Both devices are available for a price tag of CNY 499 (USD 76) and CNY 799 (USD 122) respectively.
Successor to the China Mobile A1, the China Mobile A1s sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720) IPS LCD resulting a pixel density is 294ppi and is backed by a 2300mAh Battery. Under the hood sit a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-bit processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in expandable storage. It supports 4G LTE (Cat.4) with VoLTE and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The Dual SIM enabled A1s has a rear facing 8MP camera and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies as well as Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-FI 802.11 b / g / n connectivity.
On its path, the China Mobile A2 is a mid-range phablet with a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and a sizeable 4000mAh battery. It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) 64-bit processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB Built-in storage space. The rest of the specs include – 13MP main camera, front 5MP camera, Dual SIM slots and 4G LTE with VoLTE.
