Chinese state-owned mobile telecommunications company, China Mobile has a new entry-level smartphone in the works, which would be released under the ‘China Mobile’ brand. The device was spotted on Chinese certification agency (TENAA) with the model name – China Mobile M561Y, but the final name is still up in the air.
Running YunOS 5.3.0 (based on Android), the China Mobile M561Y packs a 5.0-inch LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and backed by 2500 mAh battery. It sports a metal body frame, measures 143.7 x 71.5 x 9.2 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 150 grams.
Under the hood, the device relies on a quad-core Mediatek 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage (expandable via microSD card). In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 5MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash alongside a front facing 2MP camera for selfies.
Connectivity options the China Mobile M561Y includes – 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and micro USB. The exact launch date is not confirmed yet, however, sales will definitely be limited to areas served by China Mobile. Black, Gold and White are the available colour options.
