Teaming up with ZTE, Chinese Telecom has announced the LTE-enabled ZTE Weiwu 3 in its home country – China. The phablet sized device runs Android Lollipop OS and is priced at CNY 1699 ($267) in just one single colour option.
While the name may look weird, the specs are on the mid-range side. The ZTE Weiwu 3 sports a 5.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD), a pixel density of 401ppi and has a housing made from metal. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 405 GPU.
The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM for performance, there is 16GB native storage space to handle files and for additional storage there is a microSD card slot available. There is a front facing 5MP camera for selfies, a rear facing 13MP main camera with flash and just below the main camera is a fingerprint sensor to add more security to the device.
Connectivity options on the ZTE Weiwu 3 includes – Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4). It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Nubia 3.0 UI ontop, Dual Nano SIM slots and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
