China Telecom has commenced sales of the ivvi’s 3D compatible smartphone. The ivvi K5 is on sale in China for CNY 2,499 (US$ 362) and available in a single Deep Sea Indigo colour option. It is also currently on sale in the country for CNY 2,199 (US$ 319) via ivvi Mall and Lynx.
Initially expected to feature the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the ivvi K5 is instead powered by a mid-tier octa-core Mediatek MT6750T 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz and boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The RAM and internal storage capacity are 4GB and 64GB respectively.
The device sports a premium metal body build with durable, front and rear curved glass covering and a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD IPS LCD display. The highlight of the device is the 3D function, which allows the naked eye view 3D content (games, pictures, videos, etc.) on the smartphone.
Photography on the ivvi K5 is handled by a rear 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. The fingerprint sensor sits just below the main camera on the rear and a 3000mAh battery is in place to keep the lights on for several hours.
