Chuwi has been persistent in the release of several affordable tablets with the Chuwi Hi8 Pro being of the latest. The 8-inch sized Windows tablet is available on several third-party retail websites for as low as $95.39 (and the price could go up-to $180 after launch) with pre-orders ending on November 20th.
Moving to the specs, the Chuwi Hi8 Pro sports a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) FHD IPS capacitive display, 16:9 aspect ratio and a mixture of plastic (body) and metal (frame) build. It is powered by a Quad-core Intel Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 64-bit processor clocked up to 1.84GHz with Intel HD GPU (Gen 8), 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space.
For additional storage, there is a TF Card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB/128GB. In the camera aspect, it has a front facing 0.2-Megapixels camera and a rear facing 2-Megapixels camera. Connectivity options includes – USB OTG, micro HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G support via external modem.
The Chuwi Hi8 Pro currently runs Windows 10 OS but there are talks of a Dual Boot version; it measures 211.2 x 123.2 x 7.9mm in dimensions, weighs 304 grams in size and is backed by a 4000mAh Li-Ion battery.
It is also equipped with AAC 3D sound chamber that supports audio features like full bass and surround sound output, for quality audio output.
