Chinese tablet maker, Chuwi has confirmed the existence of a new 2-in-1 tablet – the Chuwi HiBook. The laptop-tablet device comes compatible a detachable magnetic keyboard, costs up to $239 and should be available by Mid-April according to the listing on GeekBuying.
The 10.1-inch Chuwi HiBook features an aluminium metal body build, 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA) screen resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and backed by a 6600mAh battery. The slate has the advantage of running Windows 10 as well as Android 5.1 Lollipop OS in a Dual OS setup.
Under the hood, the HiBook is powered by an Intel CherryTrail Atom x5-8300 quad-core processor clocked up to 1.84GHz with Intel HD Gen8 Graphics GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB built-in storage space. There is a front facing 2-megapixel camera and a rear facing 5-megapixel camera onboard.
The Chuwi HiBook has a USB 3.1 Type-C port along with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB, HDMI micro USB port and microSD slot (up to 64GB). There is no SIM card slot but the tablet supports external 3G module, measures 262 x 167.5 x 8.7 mm in dimensions, weighs in around 550 grams and arrives in Grey with Black panel and Gold with White panel.
I had bought this tab but it is of no use to me. Its too heavy to use as table and Android is also just 5.1. Windows 10 doesn’t run smoothly on it.
