Chuwi, one of the recognisable Chinese tablet and convertible (2-in-1) brands, has ventured into the Notebook market with the Chuwi LapBook. The new offering boots Windows 10 OS (Redstone) and is backed by a long lasting 10,000mAh battery which guarantees up to 5 hours of video playing time and comes with an original 5V/3A charger.
Sporting a 15.6-inch display, the Chuwi LapBook has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. It measures 9 – 22mm thick, weighs in at 1.86kg and has a large full sized keyboard and a mis-touch avoiding trackpad, for an exceptional input experience.
On the inside, the LapBook is powered by a 64-bit Quad-core Intel Cherry Trail x5-Z8300 CPU clocked at 1.44GHz with Intel Gen 8 HD Graphics GPU, 4GB DDR3L RAM and 64GB eMMC storage space. For additional storage space, there is a T-Flash card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
Other highlighted features include OTG, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0 port, Micro HDMI port, Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a front facing 2MP camera. The Chuwi LapBook is expected to launch later this month but it is available on pre-order from some third party retail websites for $241.73.
