Colorfly has a new super affordable tablet – the Colorfly i808 3G which joins the Teclast X70 as the first range of devices to use the Intel Atom x3 SoFIA soc. The tablet is expected to be priced less than CNY 500 ($81).
The Colorfly i808 3G is backed by the Intel Atom X3-C3230RK processor which Intel Co-developed with Rockchip; it is a 64-bit quad-core SoC based on Intel Atom processing, built using the 28nm process and 3G connectivity. The Intel Atom X3 SoFIA SoC is targeted at the devices made in China.
Moving to the full specs, the Colorfly i808 3G sports a 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Under the hood we have the 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom X3 SoFIA (X3-C3230RK) with Mali 450 MP4 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
On the rear there is a 2MP camera and there is a 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera on-board. The tablet supports Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n and has a Single SIM slot thereby supporting cellular connectivity – 3G (WCDMA).
Rounding off the specs the Colorfly i808 3G is backed by a 4000mAh battery, runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and has an impressive score of 22245 on AnTuTu Benchmark listing. There is no word on pricing and availability yet, but the tablet would be available in Blue and White colour option.
