Coolpad, one of the low-key players in the US market, has commenced the sales of a new budget smartphone – the Coolpad Conjr. The LTE-enabled device is equipped with a rear-placed fingerprint sensor, housed in an all gray colour, full aluminium metal body and on sale for a price tag of $180.
Pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with CoolUI 8.0 on top, the Coolpad Conjr sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D touch screen, Hybrid Dual SIM slot (nano + nano/microSD), and depends largely on a 2500mAh battery.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.0GHz Mediatek MT6735CP quad-core processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage (expandable up to 64GB). Photography is handled by a rear facing 13MP camera with 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash alongside a front facing 8MP camera with front LED flash for quality selfies.
The Coolpad Conjr is compatible with US’s carriers including AT&T and T-Mobile but not Sprint, Verizon and US cellular.
