Chinese consumer electronics company, Coolpad has joined the trend of dual-lens camera smartphones with the launch of the Coolpad Cool Play 6. According to company, the phablet device has a long lasting battery life and has the processing power to handle various gaming requirements.
Pre-installed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display, USB Type-C Port, fingerprint sensor, and depends on 4060mAh battery, which should last up to 6 hours of extreme gaming, 9 hours of internet browsing and up to 252 hours on standby.
The dual rear camera setup used here reveals two 13MP SONY sensors, the first is RGB while the second is monochrome. This features a f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and dual-Tone LED flash. Up front, the selfie camera is a 8MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture.
Under the hood, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage space. It supports 4G LTE networks and uses an intelligent internal cooling system to ensure temperature remains normal during intense usage.
Coolpad also teamed up with Tencent to give users of the Cool Play 6 a limited gift pack to access live games and others on the latter’s FreshDay game content platform. It will officially go on sale tomorrow (May 16th) via JD.com for CNY 1499 (US$ 217). Black and Gold are the available colour options.
