Coolpad introduces a new Tablet, Smartwatch and a TV box

At a special event in China, Coolpad unveiled a new tablet (phablet) an upgraded Coolpad Halo, smartwatch and a TV Box.

The Coolpad tablet is an upgraded version of the Coolpad Halo, the device features a 7-Inch 1920 x 1200 pixels OGS screen display, powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592T CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The device sports a 13MP IMX135 CMOS sensor by Sony and has a f/2.0 aperture as the rear camera and a 5MP BSI sensor front facing camera.

Connectivity options on the Coolpad Halo upgraded version is however unknown. The phablet is priced at $300 (roughly N49,000 in Naira).

The Coolpad Smartwatch is another accessory released with the phablet, the smartwatch features a 1.25-inch display with 144 x 128 pixel resolution and it is compatible with most Android devices & connects via Bluetooth.

The device battery is capable of providing 8 days of standby time and 4 days of normal usage. The smartwatch is IP54 certified which means its dust protected and dust resistant. The smartwatch costs around $66 (roughly N11,000 in Naira).

The Coolpad TV Box also known as the ‘God Box’ is an entry-level Android STB which is used mainly for streaming videos, can install android apps, among other basic usages.

The device features a dual-core 1GHz AllWinner A20 CPU, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also supports dual band Wi-Fi (2.4GH/5GHz) and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Coolpad TV box is available for $32 (roughly between N5,200 – N5,500 in Naira).
