Coolpad ivvi i Plus with 5.5mm thin body, 4G LTE and 3GB RAM announced

‎At a scheduled event in China, Coolpad announced the ivvi i Plus smartphone under the ivvi sub-brand. The 5.5mm thin Coolpad ivvi i Plus is tipped to be the successor to the Coolpad ivvi K1 Mini which previously held the title of the slimmest smartphone in the world.

It will retail in the home market for a price tag of CNY 1999 (US$ 303) in Gold, Pink and Silver colours but is unlikely to be available in other markets. ‎Housed in an all metal body, the ivvi i Plus sports a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294ppi.

Under the hood, it relies on a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The Coolpad ivvi i Plus packs 32GB built-in storage space which isn’t mentioned to be expandable, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and compatible with all the 3G and LTE networks in China.

The company is however quiet on the battery capacity, the version of Android OS it runs and the camera details of the device. ‎The unique selling point (USP) of the Coolpad ivvi i Plus has to be the very slim body (5.5mm), even though, it is not as slim as the ivvi K1 Mini (4.7mm), it is much more powerful and overpriced for a Snapdragon 410 smartphone. ‎
