About a month after the launch of the Note 8, Coolpad has quietly unveiled its new budget smartphone – the Coolpad M3 in China. It is available for pre-order on Jindong Mall (JD.com) for a retail price tag of CNY 799 (~$115) and expected to start shipping on November 28.
Available in Blue Sea and Gentleman’s Enamel (Black) colours, the Coolpad M3 has a 5.85-inch (1512 x 720 pixels) HD+ 19:9 LCD display with a wide notch. For photography, it is equipped with 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and front facing 5MP cameras with AI Face recognition and AI Face beautification.
Internally, the smartphone is powered by the Mediatek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in expandable storage. It comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Coolpad’s UI on top and power is supplied by a 2,800mAh battery.
The Coolpad M3 measures 149.8 x 72.3 x 8.95 mm and weighs 171 grams. It also has a rear fingerprint scanner, micro USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. The sides are made of metal and the back from glass.
