Coolpad has just launched a new camera-centric smartphone dubbed the Coolpad Mega 2.5D in India. The affordable device includes front and rear facing 8MP cameras, the same set-up on the BLU Studio C 8+8. It is available in Black, Gold and White colour options for a price tag of Rs. 6999 (US$ 105).
The highlight of the Coolpad Mega 2.5D is the cameras. The 8MP Selfie snapper with 83.6-degrees wide-angle lens, f/2.2 Aperture and other beautifying features handles video calls and selfies; while the main 8MP camera has SONY Sensor, LED flash, AutoFocus and f/2.2 aperture.
Running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS with CoolUI 8.0; the device sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D Curved Glass and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. It supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks in India as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Voice over LTE (VoLTE), GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
On the inside, the Coolpad Mega 2.5D relies on a quad-core Mediatek MT6735P 64-bit processor clocked at 1.0GHz along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space. The device is exclusive to Amazon India and goes on Flash Sale starting August 24th. Registration for sale is ongoing.
