Coolpad has a new India-exclusive budget smartphone with FullScreen display and dual rear cameras called the Coolpad Mega 5A. It is the confirmed successor to the Coolpad Mega 4 launched earlier this year (April) and comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The Coolpad Mega 5A has a 5.45-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, dual SIM slots, rear fingerprint sensor and a 2,500mAh battery. Internally, it is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9850K quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
The device has 16GB built-in storage and a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB. The dual camera setup on the rear includes a primary 8MP camera with LED flash paired with a secondary 0.3MP (VGA) camera for Portrait shots.
It is compatible with 4G LTE networks (LTE FDD B1/3/5/7/8 | TD-LTE B40/41) and on sale for Rs. 6,999 (~ US$ 100) in Gold colour only. It is available offline-only from retail outlets in eight (8) states across India – Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
